As the C.C. is a statutory consult tee we have received from Planning e – mailed notifications of the following PANs (Planning Application Notifications)
16/05621/PAN for erection of extensions to Craigmount High School
16/05719/PAN for erection of a primary school and nursery 175 meters S.E. of Meadowfield Farm on 15 Turnhouse Rd. This is the nursery school indicated in blue (then indicating outwith the development ) indicated on the development PPP (Planning Proposal in Principle) no. 16/04738/PPP as indicated in the November 2016 Planning report for the 1400 housing development 100 meters N.E. of 19 Turnhouse Rd.
16/05742/PAN For erection of a major housing development with associated access, landscaping and other ancillary developments 365 meters N.E. 210 Craigs Rd.
This is the strip of land North of the western extension of Craigs Rd. running up the western edge of Maybury Rd. beyond the present Burnbrae roundabout and shown as unoccupied on the site plan associated with 16/04738/PPP.
All these developments are by the same developer – ICENI PPROJECTS associates of JVA James Barr and Cardross Assets Management Ltd. also of 16/04738/PPP indicated above.
They are all regarded as Major Developments and hence the 12 weeks consultation exercise has commenced.
The staffed Public Exhibition Date is Wednesday 18 January 2016 at the Marriott Hotel from 2 p.m. till 7.00 p.m.
The intimation will also appear in the Edinburgh Evening News around 11th. January 2016
At present there are no further details such as size of the housing development provided on the Planning Portal website other than the location maps.
At this stage (Planning Application Notification) comments should ne directed to the developer’s agent and not the Planning Authorities.
Our concerns are obviously the increased housing load and its impact on the proposed Craigs Rd. / Maybury Rd. junction and the other roads and junctions with concomitant air pollution increases .
