Following an initial meeting with Corstorphine Community Council, Craig Ormond, Director at Mactaggart & Mickel Homes Ltd commented:
‘I can confirm that Mactaggart & Mickel Homes Ltd is the owner of 181-195 St John’s Road, Corstorphine. Our intention is to bring forward proposals for a mixed use development – retail and residential – at this site, which will benefit and enhance St John’s Road and the local area. We are currently working on different options for this and will be engaging with local elected members, City of Edinburgh Council planners, Corstorphine Community Council and the local community as we develop these plans.
We are also engaging with the existing retail tenants along this row and will consider further short term leases as we progress with our proposals.’
Representatives from Mactaggart & Mickel Homes Ltd will attend the meeting of Corstorphine Community Council on 15 November 2017, and residents will have the opportunity to hear about the developer’s plans at that time.
